Located within the city limits of Cali, the Cali Country Club is known as one of the best birding sites in the capital of the Cauca Valley Department. The club is located in a transition zone between the flat valley and the foothills of the Western Andes, very close to the Farallones National Park. The bird list at the club is at 262 migratory and resident species. The club counts with various interpretive trails in which one can find three endemic species: Grayish Piculet, Apical Flycatcher and Colombian Chachalaca. Other species of Interest include Blue-headed Parrot, the near-endemic Scrub Tanager, Yellow-throated Manakin, Red-capped Cardinal, Crimson-mantled Tanager and the magnificent Ruby Topaz.
