Cauca is the departament with the largest list of birds in Colombia, This makes of Cauca a top destination for birdwatchers, its biodiversity is due to the altitudinal gradients ranging from sea level to approximately 5300 meters above sea level, covering all climatic zones in the departament.

Since february 20 to 22 Colombia BIRDFAIR invite you to joing us and go to know this rich departament. We Will visited very interesting birdwatching spots, including Purace National Park and Coconuco area; sharing with the local comunities as important parte of this activity, during this birding time we will look for the mist emblematic andean bird, the king if the sky the Andean Condor, as other specialities of this region that include: Sword-billed hummingbird, Green-tailed trainbearer, Golden-plumbed parakeet, Undulated Antpitta, Caranculated Caracara, Scarlet-bellied Mountain-tanager, Golden-crowned Tanager, Purple-backed Thornbiil among many others.
